1. The filter size.
Record the size printed on the existing filter and keep a photo of its label. Check the equipment’s instructions before buying a replacement; the label alone may not tell you everything about compatibility.
2. Where it’s used.
Give the location a plain name you’ll recognize later, such as “upstairs hallway.” If your home uses several filters, keep a separate note for each location.
3. When you last replaced it.
Save the date when you change the filter. Keep the manufacturer’s guidance alongside it so you can refer back to the instructions for your equipment.
A useful note can be simple.
Location. Filter size. Replacement date. Label photo. You don’t need to organize your whole home to start keeping track of one detail.
Latch gives those notes a place to live with the rest of your home information.
